Transact subscribes to the provisions of the Standard for Electronic Transactions issued under the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 of Bermuda. This Privacy Policy will outline the information we are privy to and how we use and protect it. It will also provide you, the subscriber, with the ways you can protect your Personal Information from being seen or used. The term “Personal Information" refers to information that allows another to learn who you are. Examples include: your full name, civic address, telephone numbers, credit card information, alias(es),and email addresses. When we do so, we will require such agents, contractors or companies to use the Personal Information only for the purposes of performing such services and to maintain it in confidence, subject to legal requirements. In accordance with the Telecommunications Act 1986, as amended, Transact does not actively monitor and view content that subscribers are accessing via the Internet or data that is being passed through the Transact network, unless required by law. Transact does, however, monitor traffic type, not content, for the purpose of managing current and future network capacity planning. Please be reassured that Transact takes all appropriate measures to protect your personal information and as a telecommunications provider, we maintain that your personal information will be kept confidential under the Telecommunications Act 1986, as amended.
