Dear All,
The Ocean View v Riddell's Bay tournament was scheduled to be played on the weekend of Saturday, 25th & Sunday, 26th May, 2013. Unfortunately, with less than a week to go, Riddell's Bay have been unable to attract enough players to form a team and this tournament is therefore cancelled.
Rather than abandon the event completely, we have been in contact with Port Royal and they have very kindly agreed to play against us under similar arrangements and at a reduced cost. They will endeavor to put a team together to enable us to go ahead with a two day tournament. (Hopefully, we can make this a permanent fixture on the tournament schedule).
A copy of the Ocean View v Port Royal sign up sheet is included as an attachment for your review but the important points are as follows:
1. Saturday, 25th May - 8.30am shotgun start at Ocean View.
2. Sunday, 26th May - 8.30am shotgun start at Port Royal.
3. Tournament fee: $30.00 - includes cart fees and green fees on both days and lunch at Port Royal on Sunday.
4. Ladies included - Ocean View ladies teams will play against Port Royal ladies.
5. Format - Two Ball Best Ball 21 point system. (1 point for each hole, ½ point for halving the hole - 1 additional point for front nine, 1 additional point for the back nine and 1 additional point to the winning team).
6. Full members and social members (including ladies) - maximum 28 players.
7. You must be available to play on both days.
In view of the change of time and venue, those players who originally signed up to play against Riddell's Bay will need to re-sign their names on the Ocean View v Port Royal Sign-up sheet to confirm their interest and availability. Replies by return email will also be accepted.
In the event that Port Royal are unable to get a full team of 28 players (given the shortage of time) we will balance the teams with Ocean View players.
